Setting up Bitwarden for Agency Logins

Purpose

To help all new team members install Bitwarden and prepare their account so Leadbreakers can securely share passwords and login credentials for any tools or apps required for their role.


1. Tools Required

  • A web browser

  • Your personal email address

  • Access to the Bitwarden website or browser extension

  • Company invite (sent by Leadbreakers)


2. Step-by-Step Process

Step 1: Create Your Bitwarden Account

  1. Visit https://bitwarden.com/create-account/

  2. Enter your:

    • Full name

    • Email address

    • Strong master password

  3. Confirm your password and create your account.

Important:
Your master password cannot be recovered. Make sure it is secure and memorable.


Step 2: Download the Bitwarden Browser Extension

You must have the extension installed to access passwords easily.

  1. Visit: https://bitwarden.com/download/

  2. Choose your browser (Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge).

  3. Click Install Extension.

  4. Once installed, log in using your Bitwarden email and master password.


Step 3: Accept the Organization Invitation

Leadbreakers will send you a Bitwarden organization invite.

  1. Check your email for the invitation.

  2. Click Accept Invitation.

  3. You may be asked to log in to Bitwarden again.

  4. Once accepted, you will gain access to shared vault items (passwords).


Step 4: Confirm You Can Access Shared Vault

Once inside Bitwarden:

  1. Click on Organization or Shared tab.

  2. You should see folders shared by Leadbreakers (ex: Tools, CRM, Sales Apps).

  3. Confirm you can open and view the items.

If you cannot see any shared passwords, notify us immediately.


3. How Bitwarden Will Be Used

Bitwarden is where you will access all company login credentials, including:

  • CRM

  • Sales tools

  • Phone systems

  • Email platforms

  • Internal software

  • Any app needed for your role

You will never save company passwords locally or share them through email or Slack.


4. Security Guidelines

  • Never share your master password with anyone.

  • Never store agency passwords outside Bitwarden.

  • Always use the browser extension to autofill credentials securely.

  • Lock Bitwarden when not in use.

  • If you lose access, notify the team immediately.


5. Completion Checklist

  • Created Bitwarden account

  • Installed Bitwarden browser extension

  • Logged into extension

  • Accepted organization invite

  • Confirmed access to shared vault

  • Able to autofill passwords via extension
